On Thursday, I had to have my knee drained. It wasn't too painful, and it was really needed. It is feeling a whole lot better, because I've just been sitting around the house doing nothing except going to the bathroom. Had to miss Thursday and Friday of school. Not suppose to get up unless it's to visit the restroom. The night after having it drained, it looked bad. But, it's looking a whole lot better now, and that's probably because it was irritated swelling, but not real swelling. So yeah, it's getting better and looks twice as good as it did. Still have one more day where I have to sit around and do nothing. Been boring, but it's going to get better from here on out. Draining procedure should give me relief for at least 6 months, so that's good.

What happens after those 6 months?

I'm glad the procedure helped you Jughead. Is your knee the only joint affected by this JRA? Let's hope that it's short-term — lasting for just a few weeks or months, then goes away forever!

Hopefully it'll be under control and we won't have to have the procedure done again.

Had JRA since I was 2 years old. Both knees had JRA, but I grew out of it, and went into remission, but then I wanted to play football and so I played one season and was a horrible sport, said I just want to win one game, and yeah, I played my last game and we won, but then I hurt my right again during practice. Left knee is healed through God's grace, and I'm still praying for my right knee. Not sure why it came back, but sometimes you just can't question things and why it's allowed to happen.

Hey, at least you went out a winner Jughead! I'm surprised that you didn't need a physical and doctor clearance to play football. That's a sport (like soccer) that puts a lot of pressure on your knees.

I did receive proper approval to play a contact sport, and my rheumatologist specialist approved me. At first, they thought it was an injury. Had MRI and several tests done to confirm it wasn't an injury, rather my JRA coming back. A positive impact that it's had on me is that I want to become a medical doctor, specializing in rhuematology. Give back and help kids like myself.

Am I really a doctor? How did I get that degree in the first place.
