Who has ever played with a laser pointer for fun?

A while back me and a couple friends bought a laser point from spencer's in the mall and messed around for a couple hours with it. Eventually, we were told to stop pointing the laser pointer at people by someone who worked there. I have no idea why I found it so amusing to point a laser at someone at the time, but it sure did seem fun. Now looking back, I see how annoying it could of been. But, face it, who hasn't messed around with a laser pointer?

One time I got thrown out of the mall because we were on the 2nd story shining our lazer pointer at people making them look up. One guy was sitting and reading a book, we kept shining the light on his book... He'd look up and we would get out of view really quick..

Next thing we know, two security guards came up to us and told us to leave.

Naughty naughty! Never had them when I was a kid, never saw the point.

I bought one the other day.. My cat loves chasing it.

I have never played with one of those before. Some of my teacher's used them in school for classroom instruction, like to point things out on the board or on the ActiveBoard, but that was about it. Only time I've ever seen those in action. They're kind of neat, really.

I used to have one when i was younger, but it broke.
