No, that is not me.

Well I was just outside mowing the lawn. It stalled so I went to pull the starter pull-cord and it broke off.
Just did some googling and found a website that says I need to do this:
These are the steps to replace the cord:
- Buy some new cord.
- Open up the housing which holds the spring-loaded starter pulley.
- Remove the starter pulley (if necessary)
- Remove the old cord
- Attach new cord to pulley, probably with a knot.
- Wind new cord two or three times around the pulley.
- Thread the cord through the hole in the metal pulley cover.
- Re-attach the pulley to the engine motor or clutch
- Fasten the metal cover.
- Give the new cord a few pulls to test the recoil.
- Reattach the little plastic T pull handle.
- Mow.
Seems simple enough.. Have you ever broken the pull cord before on a mower?
