Have you guys had any issues with passwords that have been leaked onto the internet in the massive data dumps? Have you made sure to use unique passwords everywhere to avoid it?

I've had old passwords leaked but it didnt affect me much since I dont use them anymore. My phone number was in one of the Facebook leaks though, my phone was getting hockeyed out of it with spam calls for ages afterwards.

Hasn’t happened to me yet. My most insecure passwords are for accounts that don’t have much of anything to steal anyway.

Has not happened to me.

I use a different password on every site and app, and then use a password manager app to store them all.

It hasn't happened to me although I'm careful with my passwords & try to be really on top of it. Had email accounts hacked one too many times.
Is there something people can do to prevent this?

Idk, it’s one of those situations where there’s several ways they could have acquired it, so it’s not really one single point of failure. Unless your password is just that bad.

Not much other than just not using the same password on important sites that you would use on random forums and other sites.

I also have a separate email address that I use to sign up to sites that are not important and could be dodgy, to separate from my real mail account.

That’s what I do as well. It also has the added benefit of minimizing junk in my email.
