If someone tells lies about you and people believe them, even though they should know that you are not the sort of person to do those things, how do you make them see the truth?

There are two sides to every lie told. The truth and the lie. If someone tells lies about me and people believe them without hearing my side, then I am done with those people. If people know that I'm not that sort of person and believe the lies, those people were and never will be my friends.

I'm not too worried by other people's opinion on me so I generally won't make them see the truth.

I'd tell them what really happened and tell them they can believe the truth OR what some other person said. If they still want to believe the other person, then thats their problem.

Unless they're friends, I couldn't care less about what people think about me. If one of my friends believes a lie I just tell them the truth, which should honestly be enough to convince them since we're friends.

Just because you are good friends with someone, that doesnt mean they are going to believe 100% of everything you say at all times.

actually i have some relevant experience of this sort of thing in the last few days on a forum.............fortunatly the person telling the lies is known to be a brown nosing (to the admin) troublemaker.....shame hes a mod too!.......took a lot to make the person who had the lies told to him to realise that he had been told half truths and misinformation

the person who caused the probs had better watch his back......maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next month but he will go down

shame he dosnt know im good mates with the admin

True, but I was more talking about the serious things. I don't care about the trivial things, everyone exaggerates a story once in a while.
