So, I've been in a custody battle for my two children since July of 2012. It's been a major pain in the butt because my dad and his wife are the ones who have the kids and they have been working against me this whole time. On top of that I'm running my own forum, modding on two others, and going to school full time. I bought a new laptop today so that I can do my school stuff, play world of warcraft, and browse the net. Between every thing, I've been super busy! Going to another Custody hearing on Tuesday...

It's a very long story... But, on July 2nd, 2012 while at work, I received a phone call from my neighbor checking to make sure everything was alright at my house because they saw fire trucks and ambulances there. I freaked out, called the house spoke to the police and my 2 year old daughter was rushed to the ER and put on life support.

She died later on July 4th 2012 of an annoxic brain injury... (lack of oxygen to the brain) which a coroner concluded it had to of happened while I was at work. A jury found the babysitter guilty of homicide, then a judge closed the case and dismissed all charges... and well my kids have been gone ever since the day my middle child died....

I so very sorry about your little girl. Were you incarcerated and being blamed for her death? As I read this it seems that your two remaining children were placed, by the judge, with your parents. Not sure how they can keep custody if you were found not guilty. If I am asking questions that are too personal, please don't feel like you need to answer them.

No, I was never arrested, though I was accused. After the investigation it was deemed that the babysitter did it. Either way, Department of social services originally placed the kids. Now my parents are trying to keep them instead of let them come home so they are doing everything they possibly can to make that happen. It's such a pain in the ass.

Your parents are selfish and are not thinking about what's best for the children. It's time for them to let those children go. They need to be with you now. I hope and pray that happens. Sending you positive thoughts!

Well, not only do they get a check from the state, they get 700$ on top of that in Child Support each month.

Nowadays anything can be profitable, but I really don't get why they are trying to hurt you like that, very sad and again best of luck!

My step-mom has been like that with us since we were my kids age. All she does it hurt people and try to bring them down.

Sorry to hear about that, I could only imagine the extreme pain and sadness that resulted from losing your child.

I haven't really dealt with it yet as I've been fighting all year to get my babies back. But it does hit me hard time to time and is sometimes all I think about. Buy I stay busy to keep my mind off of things.

I can relate to that, I've lost several family members over the past couple years and sometimes the pain/sadness of losing them hits you months or even years later. Its odd how the mind works.

Indeed it is. Tomorrow (well today it's 4am almost) I have a court hearing in 12 hours.. It's suppose to be the last one, but the state or child protective services doesn't want to give them back to me, so I'm hoping the lawyer can work some magic.
