Have you ever lived in a dormitory or other accommodation with shared facilities?

How was that experience?

Never a dormitory, but have had shared accomodations. I'm very early of that because of anxiety issues, so it was a nightmare for me

Never lived in a dorm or shared accommodations. Sounds like a nightmare to me too.

No dorm. In Junior Girl Scouts we stayed at this 1 place for overnight or weekend, it went ok. Funnily it was almost Halloween!

I've shared a kitchen before with about five other families in a temporary housing facility.
Not ideal, to say the least, but was a good way to get acquainted; and experiences like that are a good way to learn patience. :D
Glad it was only for a short time. :)

I suppose I was in a shared living situation for a week with all my classmates when I was in middle school. We went to outdoor education camp.

What caused you to be in that situation?

Military family waiting for base housing in the "guest house" of the base we had just been assigned to. :)

Did you like being a military wife?
Never really thought about whether or not I liked it; I just was one. :ROFLMAO: Oh to be young and stupid again. :D

Back to the question: Looking back, I'd say 50/50.

How was it over there?
IMO....the cities I saw were ugly; the 'off the beaten trail' places were beautiful and wonderful. The swimming hole was great; there were all kinds of colorful tropical fish in bright, clear water just swimming around close to you. People, on the whole, were very, very poor; and friendly.
The climate had two seasons; the wet season, and the dry season....it rained for six months straight, then no rain for six months.
(something like that, I'm 'rounding off' :D )
