(The Guardian) In unsurprising news, Arne Slot has been named Premier League manager of the month. What is slightly more surprising is that this is the Liverpool head coach’s first such award since arriving in England this summer. Fabian Hürzeler, Enzo Maresca and Nuno Espírito Santo were the previous winners this season.
The player of the month award goes to Mohamed Salah, and the Liverpool forward now has six of the monthly prizes – level with Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo on the all-time list. Only Harry Kane and Sergio Agüero (seven each) have won more.
