Mad scientist becomes superhuman after gaining night vision power
nightvision.jpg

You’re looking at Gotham’s new superhero.

Yes, he may not have the looks, charm or chiseled abs of Batman – but this guy has night vision.

It’s true! A group of mad scientists went to extreme lengths to see if humans could see in the dark.

Gabriel Licina was the guinea pig.

He had light sensitive substance Ce6 dripped into his eyes – which were held open by some medieval-looking tool.

The chemical was placed around the conjunctival sac, which carried it to the retina.

Such a procedure has never been performed on a human.

The group, Science for the Masses, then took Gabriel to secluded woodland and put his new ability to the test.

He told Mic: ‘We had people go stand in the woods. At 50 meters, we could figure out where they were, even if they were standing up against a tree.’

Participants who tried to spot the same people without the power only did so one third of the time.

So there you have it.
