Do you often make food from scratch? Or do you buy stuff that can be readily ovened/microwaved?

For me it's a mixture between the two, though I tend to make more things than buy ready made stuff.

We like food that tastes like food.

Most of the prepackaged stuff or 'fast food' tastes like the package it comes in, and costs twice as much as it should.

So we do most of our own preparation and cooking ourselves.

I agree with this statement. I have a two exceptions which would be pizza and Chinese take-out.
