Making ice cream?

I was thinking about ice cream lately and the process to making it. While I've yet to try it, I think that these recipes could come out a lot better if they boil a liquid (milk in this case) and then add sugar to it. If you boil water and add sugar at a 2:1 ratio (sugar being two), you can get a light syrup. What this does is removes all grittiness you may experience with the sugar.

You should try it out and let us know!

I'll pass on trying this one. Seems like it would be expensive to buy all the ingredients. Plus it seems like a lot of work for such a small amount of ice cream.

If anyone does try this, please let us know how it came out!

Those ingredients are basic ones that most households keep on hand anyway. :P

I don't buy rock salt or flavored syrups either. Price flavored syrups and you'll see they are not cheap.

It didnt say rock salt... But I've heard thats what you need to make ice cream.
