A man has died after falling about 200ft (61m) from a crane in Plymouth.

Emergency services were called to a building site on Sutton Road, in the Coxside area of the Devon city.

A police spokesperson said they had received reports of a man climbing the crane on Thursday at about 1920 GMT.

Police added they believed the man was in his 30s. Investigations are continuing to try to establish who the man was and where he was from.

First thought: Well, good thing he's dead, it'd be scary if he wasn't.

Dunno why
