Anthony Martin performed the death-defying stunt while falling from 14,500ft out of a plane in Serena, Illinois, about 70 miles south-west of Chicago.

A small parachute was attached to the top of the box before it was thrown from the plane as Martin plummeted at 130 miles per hour to the ground.

His hands were cuffed to a belt around his waist and his right arm was chained to the inside of the coffin, reports the Metro.
