I'm sorry. "Mansplains", and that is what is on the Digg page as a headline.

This guy is an idiot. He's trying to come up with explanations that aren't true for the way women actually feel about this issue. "You wouldn't care if he was hot." Uhh, yeah we would? Hell, we do. Hot or not, it makes you look like a desperate scum bag trying to pick a woman up off the street--plain and simple. Some of us women aren't so shallow as to care only about looks when a hot guy passes by. Some women are, sure, but some aren't. Quite frankly, this guy is full of himself. I don't know his life experiences, but he believes he has women figured out. And he might in some small, minuscule way. Maybe he hangs out with/fucks/attracts the kind of woman who is shallow and only in it for compliments/sex and then just made his assumptions based on those experiences. It's quite possible. But I have to say that the man has his ideas skewed, and he needs to be able and willing to open his mind and ask himself if he may be wrong about what he thinks women think about this certain situation.
