I have not; it looks like you have seen LOTS of movies, but have you seen "Best in Show"? I got such a kick out of that one.I have seen the movie Man's Best Friend.
Indeed lol.it looks like you have seen LOTS of movies
Some of it.but have you seen "Best in Show"?
Cool!I got such a kick out of that one
If/when you do decide to have one, consider a "rescue" dog. Even if you have your mind set on a particular breed, there are rescue organizations that 'specialize' in the particular breed that you're looking for.Thinking of getting one myself! Life is okay without one though. One less responsibility.
Thanks for the advice! Also that is very nice of you to rescue those dogs and give them a better life!If/when you do decide to have one, consider a "rescue" dog. This dog we have now came from a Border Collie rescue group. She was found running loose in the 'scablands' with a steel coyote trap attached to her foreleg; therefore, the group she ended up with did not want her to go to a "working" home because of the weakness that left her with.
The dog before her was a magnificent Rhodesian Ridgeback....from the RR rescue group.![]()
Did you have to fill out an application?If/when you do decide to have one, consider a "rescue" dog. Even if you have your mind set on a particular breed, there are rescue organizations that 'specialize' in the particular breed that you're looking for.

Oh, yes. Also an inspection of the 'placement' in the case of the RidgebackDid you have to fill out an application?
See @Nebulous! The "they" I was talking about don't just hand out animals.Oh, yes. Also an inspection of the 'placement' in the case of the Ridgeback; I think that with a breed like that they want to be as sure as they can that you're not wanting the dog for dog-fighting purposes.
Very rewarding experience, but sometimes I've thought that it's probably easier to adopt a child.![]()
Those are good pets tooNot a fan of dogs. Cockatiels are my favorite pet.

Its in our DNA to love each otherI have a dog... her name is Tribble and she's very friendly and affectionate... to the point of literally leaping into my arms when I come home. (yeah this dog can jump like an NBA basketball player considering her size... also likes to parkour around the house... hardcore dog-kour?)
as for why they're man's best friend... I'd wager it's because they've been living with humans for so long that both species have dedicated brain activity when around each other that's unique to that paring.
Fortunately she doesn't multiply like that... but she used to sound exactly like them when she was happy lol.![]()
Be careful with the tribbles!
