If it were any enemy other than the Taliban, I'd almost be on the side of the investigators.

Since it is the Talib and their fighters.

Piss on 'em

I'm sorry, but these 'individuals' are the ones that beat men to death when they suspected that maybe they'd trimmed their beards and were known to shoot women on the streets if they thought she'd made eye contact with them.

Having a pet bird in a cage could get you flogged in the town square.

Just whistling adsent mindedly while you worked could have you hauled out to stand in front of a religious tribunal.

Under the Taliban, a goat had more rights than a woman. If I thought your woman (and yes, your wife and daughters are property, not people) looked at me, or I saw her ankle while she was walking, I could shoot her, and you were responsible to appologize to me for her affront. If I shot your goat, I'd have to pay for the goat.

No, it isn't how we want our military to behave, it was wrong to do, it offends us. BUT!

In the spirit of giving as good as we get, yeah, I can see it.

These marines urinated on dead bodies which is, in my opinion, cowardly. I heard what you were saying and as much as I don't support the taliban's point of view. The dead should at the very least be treated with respect and dignity. Simple as that.
