Ward 8 D.C. Councilman Marion Barry is on the hot seat again.

Celebrating his victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday night, Barry spoke up about the prominence of businesses owned by Asians in the District.

“We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops,” Barry said in remarks first reported by WRC-TV. “They ought to go. I’m going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.”

I just love when one group of people blames another for their problems in life. If you want the cause of any problem that is affecting you then look in a mirror. You are the reason why you do or don't have things in life both good and bad. No one else can do that for you. I wish more would adopt this line of thinking as we wouldn't have this crap going on like it does these days.

You generalize a whole group because of one politician misspoke, not all black people share this mentality. You talk as if we all look for handouts and place blame on others when we don't succeed. Though, some minority groups face hurdles that others don't. For example studies have shown it is much easier for Asians to integrate into White society than Blacks.



If blacks are dis-proportional to every other race or if homosexuals are constantly persecuted, then they should blame their cursed selves. Certainly not the people who hold the capability of deciding such a place in society like the rich, all-white, all-male bureaucrats.
