Would you have kept it?

An Indiana man received quite a surprise while receiving his food order from McDonald's. As Josiah Vargas grabbed his sausage McMuffin order, an employee accidentally handed him a $5,000 bag full of cash. Apparently, it was the restaurant's bank deposit. However, Vargas did not realize this until he was home. After thinking it through, he returned to McDonald's. He says all the employees came out and thanked him for the good deed.

They should give that man free food for a year!! They'd have never tracked down that loss if the guy had not been a one-in-a-million honest man!

I don't think I would want to lol

Me either, I’d feel bad if it was a mom & pop shop. $5000 could devastate a place like that.
….for a major corporation like McDonalds, it’s just a blip on their radar.

YeahBut.....if you think about it, that $5000 was nothing to McDonald's, but the company loss, too much to exactly hide, probably means that employee lost his/her job if not the whole crew. Gotta have a little pity for the peons.

I didn't even think about that. Yeah someone would be fired for sure. You talked me out of keeping it.

The question is, who of us would actually return the $5000 if it happened to us?
I would; it wouldn't be worth the effort to hold onto it, the temptation to spend it would be too much.

To McDonald's a blip, to a franchisee, it's a lot of money and most McD's are owned & operated by individual franchisees.

Man, that'd be some serious dough right there.
