Does anyone enjoy eating a hot meat pie on a cold winters day like me? I'm Australian, so it probably contributes to my love of them, but do any Americans or Europeans enjoy eating them?

Pot pies?

They are good. I have some in the freezer right now.

There is a big difference between a store bought pot pie and a traditional Meat Pie.

Almost to the point where I'm not sure they're the same species any more. At one time, yeah, that was the idea when they started making and freezing the things, but now, they're more filler than meat.

But while we're on the subject.... It's been a long time since I had a proper steak and kidney pie.

Need to run out to the butcher shop....

PS: Use almost twice as much meat as they call for!

Meat pies as in bread with grounded beef inside? I would eat those any other day.
