Fresh on the heels of the invented hysteria about 'pink slime', which drove up the prices of everything made with processed meat, including soup, lunch meat, hot dogs, frozen dinners, and fast food, not to mention what it did to fresh 'butcher's counter' meat prices at the super market, now you have another made for TV news freakout.
Meat Glue.
For the record, 'pink slime' had been used for twenty years before the New York Times, with an axe to grind against the producer, trumpeted about it in an article and got a TV chef to banter on about it. Then the hype hit, and now hundreds of people who worked at the factories that produced it are out of a job, and you are slammed in your checkbook.
Stand by for the Meat Glue nonsense.
It too has been used for years, but all of the sudden, it's on the news.
