Have you ever met any celebrities? If so, who?

What happened?

Did they live up to your expectations or were they rude in some way?

Was this at a sanctioned meet and greet or did you just happen to run into them somewhere?

If you could meet any celebrity, who would you choose?

I would love to meet ant and dec.

they are an english comedy duo, and I think they are hilarious. I've been watching them for years.

when I was at school, I did meet an english celebrity who is in a soap opera and she was nothing like her on screen character. she couldn't be anymore different, to be honest

I went to a celebrity golf tournament when I was a kid with my uncle. There were a bunch of celebs there and we got a bunch of autographs. Truth is I didn't know who half the people were but I could tell they were famous because of how the normal's reacted to them.

I "met" Stephenie Meyer at a book signing. The book store was packed, it was for the 3rd book so by then she was famous.

Does it count if they were the 'not picked' dudes of the Making The Band competition that formed their own group which fell off after three years? If so, yes. This band called LMNT. Never liked them but they were at this event in Florida called Red, Hot, and Boom. Saw them, stood next to them, and while people were screaming I was thinking "I'm hungry." They honestly didn't seem like they wanted to be there.

I am sure their 15 minutes of fame is long over. Nobody would recognize any of them these days. :P

did you get a signed copy of twilight?

I've not read it but know who she is thanks to the daily quiz I play

I got my copy of Eclipse [3rd book of the Twilight saga] signed.

I met Norman Reedus & Michael Rooker at a comic-con during peak Walking Dead fame. We just did the photo ops though and they really rush you through those so when I say I met them, I literally mean for like less than a minute. I wasn't gonna wait in their super long autograph lines where you had more time with them. I did also meet Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars) there though and talked to him for a couple minutes.

When I was younger I met Efren Ramirez (Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite) and a couple NFL players at signings. Efren was really cool.

I haven’t met one yet :D

I met a local celebrity and our president while I was at the mall a couple of weeks ago!

Closest I’ve gotten is meeting people who are world famous but only in very niche communities, lol. Research professors.

I've met quite a few, the most famous being Margaret Thatcher.

She came to my place of employment at the time.

I've only met Penn & Teller in terms of bigger celebrities. Got an autograph after one of their shows. It was kind of a whirlwind since they were pushing people through quite fast. More locally, I've met politicians and newscasters.

I don't really want to meet an actor. I'm afraid it'll ruin my respect for them as an actor if I were to have a bad experience in meeting them.

I dont have expectations of celebs.. they are regular people just like I am and honestly, it would be weird..

That said, I have encountered a celeb before.. it was near a movie set that my friend and I had to cross through to get to our school and we inadvertently crossed paths with the star of the movie.. Nicholas Cage.. I don't remember the movie but at the time I was living in Queens.. and there was a big cemetary on the other side of the sidewalk.. so we were trying to get past it as quickly as we could.

We were walking on the block where the [oversized] trailers were parked, these things were bigger than busses and he had just come out of one and stopped to talk to someone in the middle of what was left of the sidewalk.. so I said "Excuse Me" and he immediately turned around and said, "Let me guess, you decided to interrupt my conversation for an autograph."

And I told him, "No, I said "Excuse Me" because we are on our way to school and here you are in the middle of the fucking sidewalk like you own it instead of stepping aside and letting people pass by. And unless you plan on signing it as Michael Jackson and are giving us season passes to your upcoming tour for us and our friends and family, you can keep your autograph." He stepped aside, I thanked him and we walked away.

In hindsight, suppose I could've been nicer, but I really didn't appreciate his attitude.. and really hogging the sidewalk is something that really pisses off New Yorkers in general, regardless of where it happens.. and who does it.. and time-wise, we were already cutting it close. We had to get off our bus early because the busses had to detour from its normal route because of the movie being shot.. and the detour would have caused us to have to take another bus heading back the opposite direction to get closer to our school before it had to detour to avoid the set.

That trip would have been impossible because we'd only get 1 transfer on our student bus pass and by the time we got to that point closer to the school it had already been used since it was the second bus that we got off of.. so we had no choice but to walk or be 20 minutes late and have to pay out of pocket for the third bus going in the opposite direction to take us to the school. So that really wasn't an option for us..

My husband has seen and interacted with more celebs than I have.. but that was as part of his job and also when he saw them at red carpet premiers and stuff..

I don't get star struck about celebs though.. I've seen many of them throughout the city and from my perspective, they are just regular people.. they don't bother me, and I don't bother them..

I don't like Nicholas Cage either. I think he's a shitty actor.

He deserved that response. He was being condescending in the first place.
