I had been posting with a lady from another forum for a year and finally met her and her husband---we've become really good friends.



I've also talked on the phone with a few guys that I post with on forums. I wouldn't mind meeting any of them, but geography is the issue. One is in Florida, one in the Northeast, and one is in California.

Quite a lot actually. Anyone who lives in Melbourne, I've met. Except one guy. He's 22, and I sort of value my life. Not saying I don't trust him, just that people my age are a lot safer.

Pretty dangerous activity for a 14 year old girl I know.



I've met two guys from Sunbury, Adam and Dylz, a guy from Brisbane who I ended up dating for like, a week, that's James, and Tom and Kesu who go to school near me and know friends of friends of friends, so that doesn't really count I guess, Sam/Archangel, who lives TEN MINUTES AWAY FROM ME. Really creepy. And that's all I can remember as of now.



I guess I just like online people more. It's nice to know that they exist in real life. I once attended a /b/ raid, about Scientology or something, anyway that made me really happy. Even if they are 4channers.

I've met a lot. I used to have a chat room a few years ago, aimed at people from my local area, and we had a few meet ups. 2 exes, one of which I met through my own chat room. I've met a few others since. I must have met more than 20 people off the internet.

I've met with 1 friend from the MMORPG Maple Story, since I live in upstate ny and he lived in the city, and was able to just take the train up.



I've hooked up with someone too but it was creepy...not at liberty to discuss that one lol...





I would do it again though, maybe not hook ups, but meeting friends from forums and games.

My best friend I met online actually. She lives in Wales and we'd been talking for over a year or something and we had our parents talk and in the summer of '08 we arranged to visit each other. She stayed with us for two weeks, and I stayed with her for two weeks. Even this summer she lived with us for about a month. I hope to do the same when I get enough money. :/



Meeting people from online is fine, but you always have to make sure they are who they say they are. Journals, video chats and other things like that can be helpful to prove it. But if you don't plan on meeting them, then being friends with online people is a lot of fun. I actually prefer meeting people online than in real life. XD *pathetic*

I know a couple from another forum that actually got married....She was from Pennsylvania and he was from Reno, NV. They've been married for a couple years now....

Yes, I have. One is a lady I met while playing Pogo. She lives in Idaho. She visited at my home first for 2 weeks then I went to her home for 2 weeks a couple different times.



Then I traveled twice to England to Howard's (co-owner with me) and met a few friends while I was there.



All great times and great people.

4channers are trouble and ya know..a 14 year old girl like yourself needs to stay away from them.

They are alright in real life. They're just people; maybe assholes, but still people. Harmless mostly. That was okay though, because they were on Bourke St and I walked past and then there was this girl with a Free Hugs sign so I hugged her, then she let me hold the sign so I joined them. Different sort of a situation.

That's neat. I've met a girl before over the internet, but my friend knew her and she was his friend, so it was not that risky since they knew one another. I talked to her some and met up with her at the movies, so I guess that could count.
