Men accused of target practice inside home

Two men are facing charges after they were accused of target shooting in the basement of a Colorado Springs home.

Police say they responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired inside the house on Saturday. Officers say as they approached the house they heard more shots and noticed the front door was open.

Officers say when they got inside they found two men taking turns shooting at glass bottles.

Christian Clark and Codie Leslie were arrested on suspicion of illegal use of weapons and reckless endangerment. No injuries were reported.

How is shooting in your own basement reckless endangerment?

Seems like they weren't really doing anything wrong except making a lot of noise.

and the door was "open" so they walked in?

yeah, right, i smell bs!

those cops broke into that house and charged them with a crime they didn't commit...

The door just happens to be open? I do not buy that part. But it is hard to say. Is the house in a community with lots of houses or in the country? Are there windows in the basement? Is the basement completely underground? What if they shot upwards by mistake and it went through the ceilings home and outside? There is a reason a gun range is secured from top to bottom to stop bullets.

Not to worry. They hired an attorney from Tennessee. His name is Jack Daniel's.

americans being wrongly charged and thrown in jail is not a laughing matter...

In this case it is a laughing matter. We all know the door was not open. That means the cops entered illegally. Then to cover that up, they 'trumped up' charges of reckless endangerment. If anything, the cops should be arrested for: Breaking and entering and trespass.
