Mideast: US hated more now than under W

The middle east is this way. I think they just plain don't like the U.S. It's not something that will easily change - especially not with another Bush regime (which was not just unpopular in the middle east but throughout the world). In terms of Obama's policies, I have a feeling that part of it is because of the Obama administration's use of drone assassinations. It's not an issue if you're an American. I'd rather use drones than risk the lives of U.S. soldiers.

So? No one has to like you, just look at North Korea

Would you please explain to me what you mean by this statement?

Sure. They had a survey of countries in favor of/against the U.S. using drone assassinations. Unsurprisingly, the U.S. is for it, but there is a long list of countries who are overall against it - especially, of course, many Middle Eastern countries: http://www.pewglobal...SIMAGE00461.png

I can understand why the U.S would take a lot of heat for that, but as an American I want to conserve our troops and not send them into conflict if there is an alternative. I guess that would make me biased.

Good to see you again as well, Smooth.
