Very nice forum and I signed up.

Oops, just approved all the validating accounts.

Do you send a confirmation email? If so, I never got one.

Nope, you don't need one. I just have to go into the acp and click approve these users.

The point is, if I didn't leave a message here, I would never had known my account was approved. I was waiting for an email letting me know that I could now log in. I wouldn't have gone back to your forum until I knew my account was approved. Wonder how many other new members waiting for validation (via email) forget they even registered when they hear nothing back from you.

Well, I apologize for the problem; but, I was forced to take this course of action because we had a member who was continuing to register under various usernames and emails to post porn.

It's one of the issues of ZB, I'll admit. I don't know why it doesn't send an email when your account is confirmed.

Was this member using different IP addresses too?

Odd that it doesn't send an email when accounts have been confirmed. You might want to look into why it's not.

I received your email, and thank you for taking the time to send it.

Yes, we believe so, either that or there were more than one of them. Hmm, I'll check into it; but, I don't think it has a feature for it. You're welcome, I figured it was the least I could do after taking so long to approve the new accounts.

Just set my account up. Very nice forum!

Thanks, appreciate the feedback Jazzy!

Nice forum, I registered!

Yeah; it's an either or thing. You either get the email asking you to confirm your account or you have admin approval, it doesn't send an email when your account is approved. I've since switched it to email confirmation so that members simply have to click the confirmation link sent to their email and they're approved.

Trust me, it would be so much simpler if it did send an email upon confirmation.

@Boogie: Awesome! Hope to see you sticking around!

I know I was waiting for the confirmation link to be sent. I think this will work out better for you and your forum. Admins are busy enough without having to take extra time to send out approval emails. That's just my two cents worth.
