You guys may have seen the recent memes on social media about the new Minions movie. Does anyone understand the craze behind it? I love Despicable Me and the Minions but not so much that I want to wear a suit to the cinema lol

I went and saw this with my daughter yesterday. I had forgotten about the hype of people dressing professionally until I saw other patrons walking into the theatre with their business attire. For a moment I felt underdressed but soon forgot about it because the theatre room is dark after all. lol
Probably the one place where it doesn't matter if you're over or underdressed I guess. Did you both enjoy the movie? Haven't seen the recent ones (can't even remember how many new Despicable Me/Minion movies there are) so I'll have to catch up at some point.
