Hearing people talk in the background about completely pointless topics in overexcited voices does it for me

I worked in an office for ten years where others in the room spent most of their time doing just that.

They were, social. Very Social. I am not.

After a year or so of it, I invested in a good set of noise reduction headphones, and a nice collection of classical music CDs, some downloaded BBC documentaries, and some classic radio programs ... ...

After that, we were all much happier for the rest of my time there.

Nail files/sandpaper being used, people chewing with their mouth open and people who crack their knuckles. *shudder*

Seeing/hearing other people chew ice seems to bother me for some reason.

Another noise because I heard it today. It's when you have to use your windshield wipers but there's only a small amount of precipitation. The noise of them dragging back and forth on the windshield gave me bumps.
