A British inventor and his partner claim to have come up with a device that can turn water into wine.

The Miracle Machine promises to make a 750ml bottle of wine, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, within three days.

And the makers claim it can produce a quality wine tasting like a £12 bottle for as little as £1.20.

Working in a vaguely-similar style to a Soda Stream, the user adds water and some ingredients and lets the device do the work.

A smartphone app guides the user through the winemaking process whilst monitoring progress.

Its makers claim the results "rival some of the best wines on the planet" and will "change the face of wine production forever".

They are selling the device - which they describe as the world's first affordable accelerated winemaking device for the home - for about £300.

What are the ingredients? Powdered wine? :dontknow:

Sounds like the $3/gallon twist-cap ripple manufacturers have decided to broaden their market.

What was that saying, again? We will sell no wine before it's time...
