Family tracks down missing son Nick Simmons after his photo runs in local newspaper

A FAMILY has tracked down their missing son after they happened to see a photo of him in their local newspaper, attached to a story about the cold weather snap currently hitting the US.

Nicholas Simmons, 20, who had been missing from his hometown of Greece, New York since New Year's Day, was found in Washington DC overnight.

An absolutely amazing story! Really.
I just hope it gives a lot of families who need it hope, strange and wonderful things really can and do happen.

Truly is an amazing story. If that picture hadn't run in their local newspaper, who knows if they would have ever found Nick. Happy they did and now hopefully then can get Nick to stay with them.

Nice story... Maybe Nick didn't want to be found though. Nothing was stopping him from begging for some change and making a phone call home this whole time.

While that's true Nebulous, as someone who has known a missing person myself the torment it puts on everyone close to them is horrific.
He doesn't have to go home, at least his loved ones know he is alive and didn't meet foul play (everyone's worst fear.)
