Another no-hitter in baseball, this one by pitcher Homer Bailey, as the Cincinnati Reds defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 1-0.

The only run was scored in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly. Other no-hitters recorded against the Pirates since the turn of the 20th century:

Tom Hughes, 1916, Boston Braves

Carl Hubbell, 1929, New York Giants

Sam Jones, 1955, Chicago Cubs

Bob Gibson, 1971, St. Louis Cardinals

Bailey struck out 10 batters in a 1-0 no-hitter. Here are the other pitchers with the same result since 1969:

Dennis Eckersley, 1977, Cleveland Indians

Mike Witt, 1984, California Angels

Kevin Millwood, 2003, Philadelphia Phillies

Roy Halliday, 2010, Phillies

Felix Hernandez, 2012, Seattle Mariners
