A Scunthorpe man who built Britain's biggest collection of Corinthian football figures has turned his hobby into a dream job.
Craig Robinson, 27, who has collected 5,000 of the miniature models, has been appointed head of quality control for a new line.
The Newcastle United fan got hooked as a nine-year-old in 1995 - when the figurines were all the rage - when he bought an Alan Shearer model.
Now, 18 years on, League Cup sponsors Capital One have put him in charge of the quality of a one-off new range.
It is giving 1,000 fans the chance to immortalise themselves as versions of the iconic handcrafted models.
Mr Robinson's expertise and keen eye for detail will be cast over each model to make sure they are as accurate as possible.
He said: "I've spent years examining miniature models so Capital One has definitely made the right choice.
"They have even given me my own individual model, which will take pride of place in my collection!"

I'm glad all those years of collecting is now paying off for him!
