Myself and hubby took a trip out to our local model railway shop where they have working model railways on display and I was wondering..

Does anyone here have an interest in model railways??

I find them really clever. How they can put so much amazing detail and colour into something so small and compact. The detail in some of the little buildings is astonishing! Here they have tiny little traffic lights that change and lights inside some of the tiny houses!! It was magnificent!!

I do have a passing interest and have always enjoyed seeing them and would have loved to have my own in my office to distract me while at work

Once a year in my area they have a model railway (train) show. Hundreds of people come and some of the models are simply amazing. I remember as a small child that my uncle had a model railway. It was so large that it took up all of his garage. I would sit for hours just watching all the trains go by. The scenery and detail was so lifelike.

Wow I would have liked to have seen pics of that, bet it took him ages to do.

I LOVE MODEL TRAINS. I've loved any type of trains since I was a young boy.
