Morocco - Boy trapped in well

A boy named Rayan fell down (about 32m) a well and has been trapped down there for a few days. Unfortunately, the opening is not wide enough for rescuers to just enter it. And it's too dangerous to dig the boy out. So the authorities have been working on digging down elsewhere and then digging horizontally across the ground to reach him.

I believe he has been finally rescued now which is amazing to hear!

Kind of crazy to think that he survived down there for around 4-5 days now

Unfortunately, I just found out that he passed away once he reached the hospital . I think a long time down there with his bad injuries would have just been a bit too much for a 5 year old to handle.

This is really sad news. When I was a teenager a little baby girl named Jessica fell into a well and it was a huge story with a happy ending. I had hoped this would be the same thing.

Not aware of the story but I did see someone mention Baby Jessica on one of the social media posts about this story. It's good to hear that she was rescued.

I'm glad Jessica had a happy ending. I, too, was hoping that would be the case with Rayan.
