Aliens is great.

Mine is probably Back to the Future.  I just love the dynamics between Marty and Doc, and the crazy things that happens to them both.  It's a fun movie even though it can be rather cheesy.

Robocop, the 80's original release. Nothing goes wrong with this movie. I also think its the only movie I've seen where a guy takes a bullet to his ball sack.

The eighties was a great time for movies that were truly thrilling. I'm thinking about these three in particular:

They were genuinely thrilling and had fantastic characters that we cared about in some creative situations which they managed to escape by the skin of their teeth while we sat on the edge of our seats. They had laughs, action, suspense, scares and they still hold up well decades later.

I enjoyed "it" by Stephen King as a kid, still the only movie that legitimately scared me and had me scared and continuously checking my shower drain every time I went to take a shower/bath.
