Ok well today I rented a u-haul (a moving truck). I got a friend of mine, my brother and his roommate to help me move. We got all the big stuff moved in about two truck loads. Lots of heavy lifting, people all with their own idea's on how to get the stuff in the truck and where it should be placed in my new house. Half way through the day I locked my keys in the house so I had to call the landlord to come unlock it. He seemed a little annoyed but at least it got open. At 1st I couldnt get ahold of him so we all went out to lunch at Taco Bell. We were eating our food and he calls back to save the day! He said he would meet me there in 10 minutes. We had just sat down with our food so we were stuffing our faces and we still werent fast enough. He was there waiting for about 5 or 10 minutes while we rushed back to the house. Maybe thats why he was annoyed. Oh well.

So we got in and got the the keys and we unloaded the second truck load. After that I arranged the furniture how I liked it (probably going to move it all around again).

Suddenly my daughter comes and tells me that she cant get in her room. Apparently she had locked the door from the inside and the shut it behind her when she came out. There was absolutley no way of opening the door with a key or anything. It was just a plain door knob on the outside. We tried to slide a card in to make the latch open but no luck. So I had no choice but to kick the door open. It broke the wood on the door frame but I got some long screws and a drill and screwed it in tight. We put stickers over the screws, lol. maybe I will paint it and try to make it not so noticeable, or maybe I will just replace the wood paneling on the door frame. I will figure out something but for now the stickers work.

After that I returned the truck and paid the bill. Then ran back home, me and all my helpers sat in my new living room and watched a DVD. They all finally left about 45 minutes ago and its now 10:30 at night. Daughter fell asleep about an hour ago. Being going going going since 8am this morning. Im tired, but at least a lot has been accomplished. Still have to make a couple car loads for little stuff left behind at the old house and also clean the old house as well. Oh joy.

Unpacking is fun.

I just went and hauled all the old crappy water (from the rain) damaged furniture out of my back yard and stuck it on the street (well down the street a lil bit in front of an apartment complex).

I waited until night time (went there at 10:30pm after I got off work) because you are not allowed to leave stuff on the side of the road. They designate certain times of the year for that and I dont have the time to wait. The garbage man will take it away but if they find out who did it, they will charge them a fine. So I figured at night less people will see me and there is no chance of the landlord popping in (like she or her husband (the maintenance man) likes to do randomly during the day).

yeah there was a lot of stuff. When my mom died I took some of her furniture (which was nicer than mine) and stuck the stuff I was going to get rid of out back. Winter rolls around and it all gets damaged from the rain. That stuff has been sitting back there for about a year or two. It was all RRREEAAALLLLYYY warped and screwed up. Some things fell a part as soon as I moved them or tried to lift them up with the dolly/handtruck.

Ok today I went and got EVERYTHING out (all the small stuff and stuff in the kitchen). There is nothing left in the house but cleaning supplies. Tomorrow I'm going to clean it.

I filled up the dumpster at my old place and even used the neighboring apartment complex's dumpster. Got rid of a bunch of stuff I dont need. They just came and dumped it a few days ago so its going to be PACKED by the time the trash man comes again.

I am tired and I still have to unload the packed car.
