When you first moved away from home, did you feel lonely or happy? If you felt happy, explain why, please.

When I first moved out of my parents place in April last year, I felt home sick and lonely, knowing my parents were up north ( Chesire ) and I was down here ( Devon ). But, as the months went on it got better for me because I was able to keep in contact with my parents. It also helped because I get on well with my in laws. Although, I have to admit.. From time to time, I feel a little home sick. But keeping in contact with my parents helps.

I felt happy as it was my first step towards independence. I was so excited to get my own place and not have to depend on my dad for everything. I think he felt happy too since he knew it was time for me to spread my wings and go after my own adventures in life. It helped that I didn't move very far from him so he could keep an eye on me and I could keep and eye on him too!

I was kicked out when I was 18. I was a bad kid and deserved it looking back on the situation. I came home one day and all my stuff was packed up and sitting by the back door. I was told I had a week to find a place to live and I could sleep on the couch. I had a job and a girlfriend with a job at the time so we got an apartment together. It was a little scary but we made it just fine until we broke up a few years later. I was unable to afford a place on my 1 income so I had to get roommates. Over the next couple years I had a couple different roommates and it never lasted long. Too many arguments and fighting over petty stuff & the bills. After I left my retail job and found a better one, I was able to afford my own place without roommates, life has been a little more peaceful since then.

Happy, it was new and exciting.

Then I found out I had to clean everything myself...

^ This!

I was excited to leave home. It's all part of growing up and fully being able to become your own person. I can see how it can be scary, but (in most cases) you're still going to stay in touch with your family.

i was happy and sad at the same time. It was hard to move away but i was so happy cause i am finally on my own again. I'm glad i got the chance to.
