As long as it's for personal use I doubt anyone'll find out.

Oh, I dunno. After a few generations no one will remember what privacy is anyway.
 
If you think about it though, most of the people of authority in media are of the old mindset. They fail to see how sharing content online has a.) become as deep-rooted as say cockroaches and b.) that it would be impossible to stop people from getting content in the only way they can (referring to those who can't afford it or find it.)
