Music Playing On Forums

This fad has sort of faded out but I came across one the other day....



Do you like it when forums have music playing on their pages?

People embed music players (like ones from http://www.playlist.com/ ) and stick them in their forum's footer or portal pages.

I used to have that on mine years ago, but made it so you had to actually click the play button for it to start.



Automatic music on forums iritates me. I have my own music on whilst browsing the net and its usually on quite loud.

I honestly don't see it as being something that's needed. People have cds and if not then they have youtube for their music needs so no need for an player to load up at the bottom of every page.



Also auto playing music is downright annoying and the quickest way to get me to click the little x and leave.

I have iTunes usually up and running while. So there is absolutely no need for music on forums.

I don't like that idea. One day you could have a bunch of requests for songs and there is no way you can fill them all. I never have, nor will I ever, add that on any forum I run, even if that gets to be a popular request. I especially hate the music players that start right when you get to the forum.

Luckily I usually have the volume down on my laptop

Music on forums are not needed. On youtube is where you can listen to music. But maybe Christmas music would be cool at Christmas.
