Is there any music that evokes a strong feeling of nostalgia in you?

And, if so, why?

So, yeah, I'd put on my ambience playlist a few hours ago and just now The Road Most Travelled - one of the background tracks from the game Morrowind - starts playing and I just felt nostalgic for a moment.

yes of course, I think that music is amazing. people who have a hard time remembering facts can suddenly recall the lyrics of a song... it is proven over and over again with the elderly, playing their favorite music to them stimulates their mind.

For me some songs, even if they were not even a favorite can put me right back to a time and place.

this song for example:

when i was in my very early teens I was taught how develop and print black and white photos, I loved it and would spend much of my time taking pictures and printing them. I would have the radio on and there are a couple of songs that when I hear them, I can almost smell that chemical smell of a darkroom and I can put myself right there:

Ah yes, it's truly amazing how many hours of music we can remember.
