Nothing is ever easy for me, got a like from another girl who is 6 years younger than me and lives an hour and half away.

Seems kind of... odd?

Is it her age, the distance or both that you have an issue with?

I suppose it depends on your age.. The older you are, the less that 6-year gap is an issue, though ultimately you shouldn't worry too much what others *might* think - so long as you share a common interest in each other.

I've had one long-distance relationship in the past.. A 90-minute drive is just enough to make things slightly problematic. Especially if you drive and she doesn't, or vice versa.

why travel so far for someone so older?
She's the best one to answer this question. Have you had any contact with her after she showed interest in you? (e.g. Snapchat, Zoom etc.)

it was just a like on my account with no message and no follow up, deciding to let it go.

I swear online dating is taking me back to when I struggled with job interviews to get a job out of college, blegh....

Had a porn person try to reach out to me today, was fun messing with :P

What dating site was this one from?

On dating sites like Tinder. A lot of women just hit the LIKE button and move on. Some of them don't ever message or reply back. I had this really hot girl LIKE me on Tinder but she'd never reply to my messages when we matched. You'll get people like that. I met my girlfriend on Tinder and she only lived 15 miles away from me at the time. We talked for a week before we met in person.

Hinge was the app.

sounds lucky enough, most matches for me are coming up towns away.

I hate Hinge. I had the worst luck with it. Try Tinder if you can.

Yep. I've dated at least one woman who lived 3 hours away and it didn't work out between work and having kids. She came and stayed with me for a few months and she turned out be something of a psycho.

And then another girl who lived 2 and half hours away begged for me to come see her but wasn't willing to drive to my town and see me. So I was out on that. Not to mention she had 9 kids between 2 men. So that what was a deal breaker.

And then there was one girl who asked me if I was willing to relocate to her town which was 4 or 5 away so we could date and I was like nope. Because it's not like she going to move me in and help financially if that was the case. I'm not rich. I can't just call over to your town and hook a job and grab the nearest apartment.

So I decided that if they live over an hour away. I'm not interested. I was willing to drive 20 to 30 minutes. But I preferred if it was local because that's more convenient for me.

But anyways. I lucked out with the girl I'm with.

Tinder was a dud to me, might check it out again.

I'm willing to drive roughly 2 hours, but I got to get some vibe the other party is willing to put in the same effort.

6 years in age difference is nothing assuming you are not a teenager. 50 and 44 is really no difference at all, while 20 and 14 is a huge difference.

This is pretty true, a 14-year-old is way too young to be worrying about dating.

Yes, but that wasn't really my point, could be 16 and 22 - it still seems like a big gap, but as you age the same size gap is a smaller percentage of lifetime which makes it less important.

QFT.

Shoot, I've seen where 10 years becomes nothing the older you get. I've known some people where they were married and he was 36 and she 20's. It just depends on the connection. A lot of younger women are drawn to older guys because you have more income and usually have your own place, etc.

I'm honestly trying to find a woman who has a house already to save myself the hassle.
