Hi all, what do you know about Canada? What you don't know ask.

Share your home town pictures, life and favorite places.

I life in Ontario Canada, but was born in Quebec, Canada. It is both French and English language and is located just above Vermont, USA.

This is my birth home town. Mount Saint Hilaire, Quebec.

I was born in Fresno, CA and lived somewhere in the vicinity of Clovis ave. Not entirely sure if we lived anywhere else, though. It's a piece of shit now, though it wasn't AS bad almost 30 years ago.

@mrldii so we kind grew up quite close to each other, well would share the same crappy weather. LOL

I love CA. I would love to live there, but can't afford sadly.

As far as Colorado, I have never been there but it is on my list. I have lots of friends who head there to ski, burrrrrrrrr at the moment I am trying to run AWAY from the snow, not TOWARDS it.

@Bea Sunny (: Wow what fantastic pictures!!! ... So different from the culture I am accustom to. It is beautiful and serene looking.

What type of spiritual building is the one at the end of the cobble road way? Is it near where you actually live?

@Savona

Yup, we sure did; Niagara Falls was THE one-and-only destination when family came to visit; we were there at least 4 times a year.

Not all of CA is expensive; it gets a bad rep because of the prices of the big areas, like LA, San Diego, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley; this part of CA is pretty damned affordable, house-pricing, anyway.

The best-kept secret of this immediate area is our weather - it really IS gorgeous, with very little extremes in the seasons. The San Joaquin Valley really screwed up not capitalizing on it; they would give Phoenix and Florida a run for retirees' money, for sure.

I hope to one day return to Colorado Springs; it is my absolute most-favorite place to be. Something about the mountains just resonates within me. (And, I'm hoping it's NOT the radon poisoning...)

:!!:

@Savona Thank you I am glad you like the pictures. That building is some kind of church I don't know exactly because I don't go there I go to another church and yes it is far from where I currently live because this building is in my hometown.
I just found a video too if you are interested.

@Bea Sunny (: Thank you !!!! What a great video. I love the way some of the building around built. Looks as if they have inner courts. Perhaps needed from days gone by.

I live in Ontario now, about a 1/2 hours from the falls. So here is a video of one of the 7 wonders of the world. (Called that years ago)

This winter, first time it has ever NEARLY frozen over.

That's amazing! Both savona and bea! I live on the Hudson River and this is the first year in at least 15 years that it's frozen significantly. Not only that but it was frozen solid for about 3 1/2 months which I cannot remember happening since I was a small child maybe in the 60's or 70's!
