So, after watching far too many TV shows I have discovered that sometimes there is one back-stabbing, disgusting, hate-worthy bitch. Actually that's not exactly true, they're not all equally bad but still. I decided to make a list of them and why I hate them. Oh, and just to be clear, I'm not against the actresses, that's not the case.

WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Lost:
Susan Lloyd (Michael's wife)

Why: She decides to take up a job in a different country without even discussing it with her husband (they weren't actually married) and doesn't even give him a chance to come with her or keep their new-born child. Eventually marries another guy and completely keeps Michael away from his child. (Also hides his letters to the kid) And all that without giving him any explanation whatsoever. When he decides that he wants to be with his son and takes legal action she blames him for being selfish and not caring for the child's future.

Breaking Bad:
Skyler White

Why: I hated Skyler from the first episode when she half assed giving him a b-day handy and didn’t even bother to pay attention. If I was Walt, I would have just walked away. One of the cruelest things you can do to someone is phone in intimacy. Way to show you don’t give a shit Skyler. It quickly becomes obvious their entire marriage was about her and what she wanted, the entire first episode she’s controlling every decision he makes, from breakfast to nagging him about what credit card to use. Remember folks, Walt gave up his entire future for her and their newborn kid. The man could have been a rock-star in the chemistry world with a Nobel Prize and millions to his name. Instead his life became one long slog through mediocrity as a Highschool teacher and cashier/towel guy at a car wash while she sits around at home on her ass failing at writing and “art”… and he never once complained about it. For me, that was underscored when Walt reveals to her that he has cancer. She immediately makes the whole situation about her, her feelings and what she wants. Sure, Walt started acting weird and distant, but the man is DYING for pete’s sake. She never once asked “are you ok? how are you holding up? what do you want to do?”
At the end of the day, she’s a control freak who lets Walt work two jobs while she sits on her ass and complains to him about money.

Walking Dead:
Lori Grimes

Why: Lori bothers me, and not because she's a "cheater or a slut" since I don't agree she is either. What bugs me, is the way she screwed with Shane, how cruel she was to him during the breakup, "don't talk to me or my son etc," how she blames others: "You knew my hubbie was alive when we shagged," um, no he didn't, and where were you wench? How she doesn't watch out for Carl, how she got glen go into town to get her 'abortion pills.' How she acts like everyone in the camp is her personal flunky ordering them about. How she asked Shane to stay when he wanted to leave, and then gave him mixed signals. How she later plots to incite Rick to kill Shane lady Macbeth style. How she tells Andrea she should pitch in and do laundry. Everytime she's on the screen I find her presence extremely irritating.

Skyler was very frustrating in Breaking Bad. I wanted Walt to kick her to the curb, but he couldn't because of the situation he was in.

Even more frustrating is this:
"As a human being, I’m concerned that so many people react to Skyler with such venom. Could it be that they can’t stand a woman who won’t suffer silently or 'stand by her man'? That they despise her because she won’t back down or give up? Or because she is, in fact, Walter’s equal?" - Anna Gunn
BULLSHIT!

The feminism is strong in this one. :P

I have mixed feelings for Skyler. At times I sympathize with her, other times she is detestable. But that's what gives so much depth to her character. Everyone on the show made bad choices and she was no different in that regard, and she could be just as cunning and badass as Walter: "Someone has to protect this family from the man who protects this family." I never liked Hank's kleptomaniac wife though.

I don't know too many other female protagonists (which is a shame), but off your list I think Lori has to be the worst. Her characterization is really weak. For example, I think it was the same episode where she accused Daryl of being selfish (when he is the one who risked life and limb searching for Sofia) and then proceeds to total one of the few cars on the farm. She plays an important role for Rick and Carl's development, but her potential stops there. Carol right now is the only female protagonist I'm rooting for in this show. She has become my favorite and I hope she lives long in this series.
