Today was nice overall, despite a few minor setbacks. First, woke up, picked up my friend, then we went swimming for a few hours. Then, we went and saw the Hangover Part II again, and that basically sums up today! Had a great time.
Now to the one setback. I buy tickets to go see some panda movie and so everything is fine, until, some movie janitor says hey guys. We ignore him and just walk into the movie anyways, because to be honest, I just didn't feel like talking to him. So, to my surprise, he walks in and actually ID's us. I'm not 17 yet, I'm only 16, so he tells me that this is a rated R movie and that I can exchange my ticket at the ticket box. Well, I didn't buy a ticket to go see the hangover, I just wanted to buy a ticket to get into the movie. As we're walking out I tell the guy that he is being paid minimum wage, and he really doesn't have to worry about us causing trouble in the movie or anything, but he just said sorry guys. So I sit out in the lobby pissed off about the whole situation when I get the bright idea to have someone act as my mother. So I just found some random couple and asked them if they'd act like Im their son and they agreed to do so; therefore, I watched the movie in peace.
On the way out, I saw him and just smiled.
How come I can drive 4,000 pounds down the road at speeds of 60+ MPH, yet I need to wait a year before I can legitimately see a rated R movie?
