I don't suspect a hell of a lot of paranormal activity in certain oceans over others. In fact, I don't suspect it at all.

Honestly, take any branch of sea the same size as any of those 'areas of interest' and send the same amount of vessels on/over it and you will have similar figures - taking into account variables like conditions.
