I’m trying…
I’m trying to keep my past and still live in the present.

“And trying to make up for all I’ve sinned.
It’s like walking against the wind,
And now I feel nature’s brute force.
You have to let nature take its true course.”

Those who have lived long know this song.
The wise know Nature’s song.

It went by in a thunderclap,
Before my fingers could snap,
Time has gone before my grasp.

Visions of the past,
Nature has me trapped.
And as I sleep,
I dream this dream –
Friends I have left and friends who have left me,
Nature’s clouds are souls that roam free,
And they don’t respect human memory.

As the sun shines on the best days,
The darkness of dusk takes smiles away.

For those hours when the sun didn’t shine,
Feelings went off as absence of benign.

Unbending like the strong breeze,
Nature’s clouds are souls that roam free.
Trapped in the past of my memories delight,
And I can’t fight –
Nature has a way of warping destiny.

All the childhood memories…

Gone in an instant and cherished no longer.
Under the guise it makes us stronger,
But I see Nature’s fury,
Trying to make us grow in a hurry.
And as I sleep –
Visions of the past I see.
Friends I’ve left and friends who have left me.

“Can’t stop myself from dying,
But still I’m trying…
Forgive me for I have sinned,
It’s impossible to walk against the wind.

I won’t deny it.
Can’t stop myself from dying,
But still I’m trying…
Forgive me for I have sinned,
It’s impossible to walk against the wind.”

And crashing waves of a crying soul
Are swept by the moon’s tide, all so bold
Nature builds and destroys
Memories and bonds seem void
Nature will lead lives to waste
And turns the world with such grace
Men who died and those who take their place
Nature is to be loved by the young
But the elderly turn tail and run
Because they have lived to know Nature’s song
They know Nature’s song
They know Nature’s song

“Can’t stop myself from dying
But still I’m trying
Forgive me for I have sinned
It’s impossible to walk against the wind

I won’t deny it
Can’t stop myself from dying
But still I’m trying
Forgive me for I have sinned
It’s impossible to walk against the wind”

It can happen in a flash,
It’s like that –
A life is lost and nature isn’t listening.
Everywhere I turn, another friend is missing,
Memories are the only ones to escape time’s wrath…

Slowly losing it all to nature’s grasp,
Nature’s devious task,
Trying to take away my past,
It can happen in a flash.
It’s like that…

You lose it all…

Nothing lasts forever,
I learned that the hard way.
Running against the wind,
Fighting the storm,
Trying to defy the inevitable.
You have to let nature take its course,
Know this and you have become wise.
Knowledge alone empowers and shields,
You will no longer be fooled by Nature’s song.
