So I signed up for two classes in order to try and keep my teaching license, but I haven't been in school since 2011, and this will only be online courses. Despite not having to go into a classroom, I will have to do homework, participate in discussions, write papers, etc. I am so nervous! I know it's not even that much time between having been in school. It could be worse. But I'm still pretty nervous. Has anyone else had to go back to school after a period of time?

The good thing is that I don't have to be in front of anyone in a class, so I have the anonymity of being behind a computer, but picking up work again will be awkward and I hope I'm able to do it.

Thank you. I'm worried about a lot of stuff, but such is life.

:goodluck:

Hope it goes well!

I hope you can eventually get a job in the educational system one day too! :beg:

I think you'd make a great teacher. :)

I hope so! It's difficult to get in anywhere, and three jobs is like no time for rest at all. If I can sub maybe on a day off, that would be okay, but that's rare that I have one, and even then it would take years and years for me to gain the experience it would take to even be considered.

It only takes one successful interview to get a job.

I've seen teachers get hired on full time without years of subbing experience, so its possible.

I hope that's the case. I have a small amount of experience in the classrooms, and I've been tutoring for over three years, so I hope that qualifies me.

Just got to find someone who clicks well with you, see's potential, likes your personality and thinks you'll do good. (if possible)

Good luck to you Dee!

I also think you'd make an excellent teacher. You're very intelligent, funny and a friendly person.

Funnily enough, at this point I think I'm becoming disheartened trying to find an actual teaching gig, but we'll see. I haven't given up completely. Thank you, Jazzy!

I never thought I'd be a Paramedic but I am. Don't give up on your dream, Dee. One day it will happen!
