Sometimes sports teams ask the city to help them build a new stadium. Do you think the city should give money for this? Have the tax payers pay for it? Or should the sports team pay for the whole thing?

If the city, or state, or whatever, helps to pay for the new stadium, it should be a multi-purpose venue with other events held there throughout the year, not given solely for the exclusive use of the team.

That makes sense.

We recently had some drama over our sports team telling the city to build a new stadium otherwise they'll leave and they ended up leaving anyway I think.

It is not just the team's decision, but the responsibility for the city, or possibly state government to decide whether to build a new stadium for a new team.
