It's almost that time of year when people get the good deals for the holidays for new TVs. What types of things do you expect a new TV to have now? What size would you prefer to buy?

We haven't bought a new tv in probably 5 years so I'm sure everything is much better than ours. I don't even know what to look for!

Since we are going in to 2022 HD is the absolute minimum, 420P is officially obsolete :D

4K, Smart TV that is at least 50 inches. That is what I have right now so that's the bare minimum for me.

I got a 1080P Monitor and iPhone Pro 13 and that does the job for me :D

As long as the quality is not below average I’m good with it!

Bought a new TV last year, a really nice 42-inch Samsung. So I won't need to buy one for a long while though it seems all the TVs these days come with too much extra junk on them.

These smart TVs are basically giant phones now.

Does it not bother you that you can't watch certain things on a bigger screen though? I watch football on my laptop and some shows on my phone but certain things just have to be watched on a big TV

I got a TV in the lounge room and an old iPad from 2016, I can agree with that, the season final of my show Wentworth is coming soon and that will be getting watched on a proper TV.

I am planning to buy a 8K TV this time. I prefer something from LG or Samsung because their display is way superior.

That’s amazing :D
LG have been making amazing ultra HD products lately and Samsung isn’t bad either so you will love it :)

I am waiting to see what they will do with displays. Possibly this CES, there will be something interesting. What is your opinion about projectors ?

Nice concept! :D
Projectors are still great but they’re more for class room and corporate use now.

When we do get around to updating our living space TV, I am hoping to get atleast the same size tv we already have there (a 32 inch display), by Vizio. Most of the services we use, are programmed into Vizio TV's anyways, so might as well get it. If we end up splurging a little more, I'd get a 42 inch tv or bigger, and get a wall mount for it.
