You're invited to a New Year's Party and asked to bring food...what do you bring?

I'd probably bring something like wings if I lived close enough and knew that they'd stay warm. If it's farther out, I'd bring an easy dessert, something simple and small that I know people would nibble on.

It probably depends on the type of party , whether it’s more finger food or full meals.
I usually go for something that can be eaten at room temperature. That way, it can sit out for a while without needing the fridge or warm up.
If I do bring something that needs to stay cold, I make sure to let them know ahead of time so they can save some space in the fridge , especially if it’s something that melts quickly.

A few off the top of my head
Seafood pasta salad , always a hit.
Veggie fritters
Baked dishes like cannelloni, lasagne, pastitsio, potato gratin or moussaka stuff like this
Meatballs or skewers prepped and ready to cook if it’s a BBQ party .....or make them few dip as I know to make plenty

It really depends on the party, but I always ask what kind of party or food they’re planning first. Either way, I never show up with just one plate , even if they say to only bring one

Probably some kind of snacks or what have you. Those kinds of parties usually don't involve having actual meals and it's more of like finger food, a salad or 2 and some dips.
