Does anyone do this? I don't do them as I don't like setting goals or achievements. I just know that half the time I'll do the change, then drop off with it within a week or less.

What is your resolution if you have any?

I generally don't, but if I did it would be to lose some weight. I've gained quite a bit of weight since I quit retail.

I don't bother to make any anymore.

I never liked making any as I'd never stick to them.
Last year's was just to make to a certain level of Candy Crush Saga.

Same here! I need to shed some of those pandemic pounds. In just a few days I'll kick it into high gear.

Yeah, I'm sure the pandemic didn't have a good effect on people's mental or physical health. I worked during the pandemic though, since grocery is an essential job.

I worked too but working doesn't keep you from getting chubby

Don't do them. Never have and never will.

Because they are pointless and I have no need for them.
Setting goals for yourself isn't pointless. Of course we can do that at any time. It doesn't need to be attached to a number on a calendar.

I had a pretty physically-demanding job that kept me decently fit.
So do I but it still doesn't get my heart rate up. Need to do some real cardio to accomplish that.

At my age, I have no chance of achieving any goals, especially with my mental health problems.

True, I pulled water pallets and other heavy pallets quite frequently, which was quite the workout sometimes, especially during the summer when about 10-15 water pallets would sometimes go out.

Sounds like you were just putting strain on your body, not doing any worthwhile / beneficial exercise.

Gotta get that heart rate up :D

Sometimes pulling enough pallets did get your heart rate up. I remember one day I pulled several water pallets to the floor and it felt as if my heart was beating out of my chest. Pulling many pallets in one scenario can certainly take your breath away.

Oh well thats good then. I used to work in retail and had to move pallets around all day. I just went slow and steady with it. Didn't want to hurt myself.

I probably overworked myself from time to time seeing as at Walmart, there's always something to do. :whistles:
